Pre-wedding photo shoot on Muriwai Beach {Auckland photographer}

We met with Frances and Chris just few months before their wedding for a photos shoot on Muriwai Beach {Auckland}. I cant wait to be their wedding photographer very soon {we already reschedule two times because of lockdowns, so hopefully third time lucky!}.

The weather was great with beautiful soft golden light just before the sunset. We started at open part of Muriwai Beach capturing some beautiful moments with their best friend - dog Coda! SO gorgeous moments! and continue to my favourite part - More Bay with stunning rocks and a cave! It was great to chit-chat and discuss some wedding details as well at this pre-wedding photo shoot!

Im so excited to share with you beautiful, emotional and real moments this couple pre-wedding photo shoot in Auckland {Muriwai Beach}: Dianne & Jared had their engagement session and it was a pleasure for me to be their photographer.

So many romantic moments, love, light and laughter!

Pre-wedding engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland wedding photographer}

Carlos & Caroline come to their pre-wedding | engagement session on Muriwai Beach from overseas {New York}. Its such a pleasure for me as a wedding photographer to capture all the emotions, romantic and real moments for this beautiful couple.

Their story: “Carlos and I met in New York City five years ago working together at the same architecture firm. Before coming to the states, Carlos grew up in Auckland and a lot of his family still lives there. We were always good friends and after a year or so began dating, (secret office romance). Then I moved away for school and we've spent the last four years doing long distance. This has made all the time we have gotten to spend around one another all the more special. I'm finally graduating this May and moving back to NYC to be with him for good. We have decided to get married in the states but want to make New Zealand part of our wedding experience”.

Proposal story: “This past August, Carlos and I were spending the weekend at my family's summer house by the ocean. Carlos suggested we go for a little walk on the beach and completely surprised me by suddenly kneeling in front of me in the sand. I hadn't thought he was going to ask me for another year or so based on conversations that we had had. Turns out, he had been elaborately planning the proposal for months coordinating everything. After I said yes we started to walk back up the beach and suddenly my family came running down from the dunes where they had been hiding with a bottle of champagne and glasses for all of us. It was perfect” SO romantic story!

Love and Light - Pre-wedding session in New Zealand {Auckland engagement photographer}

Love and Light - these two words perfectly describing this gorgeous pre-wedding session New Zealand - Auckland with Hui & Elwin {couple made their way from overseas and it was a honour to be their engagement photographer and document such emotional and real moments}.

Gorgeous Hui & Elwin! When couple made all the way to New Zealand from Hong-Kong for their couple's session, it was rainy, but they decided to take a gamble and move the session to their very last evening before fly out of New Zealand. Luckily sun come out this time for a couple of minutes and we manage to capture beautiful moments and connection, just before couple head to the airport form the beach. Such a great memories! Safe travels!

Pre-wedding photo shoot in New Zealand {Auckland wedding photographer}

Im so excited to share with you my recent sneak peek of pre-wedding photo shoot: Manyin & Mark come over to New Zealand from Hong Kong for this breathtaking session and travel around NZ with first stop in Auckland. Such a honour for me to be chosen before their wedding as their couples photographer.

We had such amazing time - 4-hours session!!! starting from Auckland Domain, Riverhead forest, and finishing meeting sunset at Muriwai Beach. So many incredible moments, love and laughter! We enjoyed every single moment!

Couple shared their love story: “We've been together for about 2.5 years we met during work when I (manyin) travel to HK for a work trip and Mark is local in HK where he studied in Sydney (same place as me) previously. Our hobbies and background was very alike and slowly we were together. He proposed on his birthday (as this was the date we started going out together) he decorated the house and proposed”. Such a beautiful story.

I'm so excited to share with you our recent winter engagement session sneak peek with Courtney & Jason, such adventurous couple. We chose Riverhead forest and Muriwai beach, such a perfect locations to shoot for any wedding photographer in Auckland! It give us a perfect variety for incredible pictures!

This day was so amazing, couple also prepared a little surprise for their pre-wedding session - they brought a few smoke bombs! We had so much fun playing with them!

Engagement session on Muriwai Beach - Riverhead forest {Auckland pre-wedding photographer}

This engagement session on Muriwai Beach - Riverhead forest {Auckland} with Aishani & Janak was truly breathtaking. Couple wanted to do a pre-wedding session in New Zealand before they come back to UK after few years live in Auckland. It was a last minute call and Im so happy to be their couples photographer.

We spent amazing time walking around the forest and exploring the wild West Coast New Zealand beach with cave, rocks and stunning landscapes. Couple been so brave and adventurous and even walk in the cold water {its a winter here in NZ!}. I always love when couple brings traditions in their wedding | session so it was a great surprise to see their traditional Indian outfits - sari.

Couple shared their love story: "We met at university 10 years ago, were best friends for 3 years until Janak anonymously sent me flowers on Valentines Day. We pretty much immediately went travelling to India, Nepal & Malaysia as a brand new couple for 3 months. It was intense being with each other 24/7 right at the beginning of our relationship, but it showed us that we were a great couple... and here we are 7 years later!" 

The proposal was so amazing: "He flew me on a seaplane to the winery I really wanted to go to on Waiheke (Man O War). We had a wine tasting, then while we went for a walk on the beach and he got down on one knee! The proposal was a complete surprise as I thought the seaplane experience was a belated birthday gift."

The Travelling Dress Collective {New Zealand pre-wedding photographer}

I'm so excited to share with you a new publication of our amazing The Travelling Dress Collective project - where nine photographers from Australia and New Zealand come together to photograph just one dress with their unique Voice and Style.

It was such fantastic experience and so talented group of artists. Can't believe how this turned out. This dress was so gorgeous - made by Purity Lace Design. It's so amazing to see how different artists found something unique with their approach. New Zealand pre-wedding photo shoot: Danielle and Jarryd {Auckland engagement-wedding photographer}

Im blown away by my recent New Zealand pre-wedding photo shoot with Danielle & Jarryd, such amazing crazy in-love couple! We had such a blast in our Auckland engagement photo shoot, such a honour to be their wedding photographer, cant wait till their wedding!

We met at Karekare falls and had explored around a wild secluded Karekare Beach with so beautiful landscapes, just before the sunset.

Shoot and Share Contest Results {Award-Winning Wedding photographer in Auckland - New Zealand}

So excited about this fantastic news - I just received Shoot and Share contest results and images that I submitted got a great acknowledgement: one photo in top 100, two images as category finalists, 11 pictures in Top 10%, 17 photos in Top 20%, 12 photographs in Top 30%. Its such a pleasure to me, Auckland wedding photographer {New Zealand} to see such a high performance for my wedding and lifestyle family work. Such surprising results, mainly when you know, there were over 800000 submissions from over 150 countries around the world.

It's great to know; my favourite images got in the top rated photos, chosen by the audience. But there were surprises as well: one picture from my moody Styled Shoot got in the category finalists, and I even never got to share it as there were so many another fantastic images from this shoot. Such great teamwork from all vendors who made it possible.

West Coast Beach New Zealand Pre-Wedding | Engagement Session: Tina and Tony {Auckland weddings photographer}

Lucky chance that exactly at our session time I received a Travelling Dress from Australia for the project, where around 10 photographers from different countries capture one dress. I can't share images with this dress at this moment, but watch this space next week, so amazing couple's moments in breathtaking and emotional photographs! Can't wait to share it with you!

Couple's love story: "Tony was raised in Auckland whereas I was born in Sydney. He moved over to Sydney for University and we were very fortunate to have met at a friend’s birthday party. After a few months we officially became a couple and have now been together for just over 3 years. I can’t wait to spend the rest of my life with him!" Tony proposed "In the beautiful city of Kyoto, Japan", such a beautiful memories!
