We met with Simon and Maddie for their forest and beach engagement session in West Auckland - near Muriwai Beach, for their pre-wedding photography, before couple fly to USA for their wedding in December.

It was a rainy day, but even rain can’t stand on the way of this beautiful couple’s love and positive emotions!

Winter Engagement Session {Auckland pre-wedding photographer}

Im so excited to share with you highlights of the winter engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland} with Sheldon & Harry, who won this pre-wedding giveaway a few months back.

We don’t had the opportunity to shoot the session because the country was on the lockdown, but luckily no I had an opportunity as their photographer to document so special for couple moments!

Couple shared their story: “Harrison and I met back in high school where he asked me out but I had to say no due to not being allowed a boyfriend (had to concentrate on school work) once we finished school we started talking again and there was instant attraction. We started dating, have been together 7 years, living together and owning dogs together. We have been each other's rock and we are definitely each others better half” The proposal: “He wrapped a gorgeous frame up for Christmas - to which he had filled with pictures and a note saying will you marry me? When I looked up he was there with the ring a huge smile and then said so will you marry me”. So romantic story!

Im so excited to share with you a recent photo shoot on the beach - engagement | pre-wedding session with Megan and Carlo on Muriwai {West Auckland}. These two beautiful people come over from Australia to celebrate their special day with their close friends and family and had an engagement shoot just two days before their wedding!

We had a great time walking and talking on the beach, discuss couple’s wedding plans and have some beautiful, emotional and real moments captured.

Navya & Manish come all the way from Boston, USA for their pre-wedding photo shoot in New Zealand.

Couple shared their love story: “ We met 6 years back while I was doing my masters in Washington DC and Manish came to stay with his friend who was in the same school, we started hanging out and dating the same year. Manish went back to India and visited USA again for his MBA. We used to have a long distance relationship and meet over the weekends etc, and then got married 2 years back. He proposed on top of an roof top bar in New York. I was there meeting my friends and Manish was catching up with his school friends. We both are super shy, so this was a big surprise for me. “

Such a romantic story!

Muriwai Beach Engagement | Pre-Wedding Session {Auckland wedding photographers}

Enjoy highlights of Muriwai Beach Engagement | Pre-wedding session with Harriet and James, just before their wedding {that was a honour to capture for us, Auckland wedding photographers}.

This session day was incredibly different as all sky been covered with orange glow from Australian fires. It was also extremely dark, but we decided to keep the session and go with the flow, capture some beautiful, emotional and real moments.

I feel it helps us a lot to get to know each other and feel more relaxed and comfortable on the wedding day, saving some time at the intimate session. I totally recommend everyone to have this pre-wedding session with your chosen photographer and move some nerves out of the system as well. :)

Pre-wedding engagement session on Muriwai Beach {Auckland wedding photographer}

Carlos & Caroline come to their pre-wedding | engagement session on Muriwai Beach from overseas {New York}. Its such a pleasure for me as a wedding photographer to capture all the emotions, romantic and real moments for this beautiful couple.

Their story: “Carlos and I met in New York City five years ago working together at the same architecture firm. Before coming to the states, Carlos grew up in Auckland and a lot of his family still lives there. We were always good friends and after a year or so began dating, (secret office romance). Then I moved away for school and we've spent the last four years doing long distance. This has made all the time we have gotten to spend around one another all the more special. I'm finally graduating this May and moving back to NYC to be with him for good. We have decided to get married in the states but want to make New Zealand part of our wedding experience”.

Proposal story: “This past August, Carlos and I were spending the weekend at my family's summer house by the ocean. Carlos suggested we go for a little walk on the beach and completely surprised me by suddenly kneeling in front of me in the sand. I hadn't thought he was going to ask me for another year or so based on conversations that we had had. Turns out, he had been elaborately planning the proposal for months coordinating everything. After I said yes we started to walk back up the beach and suddenly my family came running down from the dunes where they had been hiding with a bottle of champagne and glasses for all of us. It was perfect” SO romantic story!

We met with couple on Muriwai Beach one of the afternoons before the Christmas and had some chat about their upcoming wedding and plans for a special day, their story and relationship, what they most excited about upcoming celebration with their friends and family.

Im so excited to share with you a engagement session sneak peek with gorgeous Cherrie & Cecil at Muriwai Beach . Couple made their way from Hong-Kong before their wedding. Such a pleasure to be their photographers and document so many romantic, real and beautiful moments.

Couple shared their story: “We met ten years ago at the University. We took the same class in Philosophy, which was compulsory. Then we were being assigned to the same group for a project. We went out to a restaurant near the campus for noodles on our first date.”

Need to mentioned weather in Auckland at this time of year very changeable with lots of rain, we even rescheduling their session. Luckily this day was great. We had just enough sun to capture the beautifu of Love & Light and all connections.

Love and Light - these two words perfectly describing this gorgeous pre-wedding session New Zealand - Auckland with Hui & Elwin {couple made their way from overseas and it was a honour to be their engagement photographer and document such emotional and real moments}.

Gorgeous Hui & Elwin! When couple made all the way to New Zealand from Hong-Kong for their couple's session, it was rainy, but they decided to take a gamble and move the session to their very last evening before fly out of New Zealand. Luckily sun come out this time for a couple of minutes and we manage to capture beautiful moments and connection, just before couple head to the airport form the beach. Such a great memories! Safe travels!

Auckland City + Karekare Beach Pre-wedding {wedding photographer in New Zealand}

Im so thrilled to share with you a recent gallery highlights in Auckland City and Karekare Falls | Beach with Junice and Terrance who made all the way from Singapore to their pre-wedding session with me as wedding photographer, in New Zealand.

We had so much fun and positive emotions, walking on Auckland City streets, enjoying the atmosphere of a downtown with buildings, bricks, industrial and old style imperial feeling; driving to Karekare Falls and following to the Piha Beach for a little bit extra photos and atmosphere. This 3 hours photo shoot was just incredible. It was a cloudy day with no chance for a beautiful sunset, but its all about relationship, connection, emotions and candid moments, no matter weather!

Couple shared their love story: “We met at university during our 1st year but only got closer when we were doing our post grad diploma and have been together for almost 4 years”. The Proposal: “It was Junice's birthday and we had lunch at a Japanese restaurant we both like and have visited a few times. The restaurant celebrates birthdays with the chefs dimming the lights and singing a birthday song, while bringing out a birthday dessert. After the song, Terrance said that he had one more thing, - he then went down on one knee and popped the question. "To more sushi adventures ahead!" he said. “ Oh, such amazing story!

The Travelling Dress Collective {New Zealand pre-wedding photographer}

I'm so excited to share with you a new publication of our amazing The Travelling Dress Collective project - where nine photographers from Australia and New Zealand come together to photograph just one dress with their unique Voice and Style.

It was such fantastic experience and so talented group of artists. Can't believe how this turned out. This dress was so gorgeous - made by Purity Lace Design. It's so amazing to see how different artists found something unique with their approach.
