Best of 2018/2019 Season {Auckland wedding and engagement photography}

I want to share with you today best of 2018/2019 season - my amazing couples - in Auckland, wedding and engagement photography. Traveling to Europe, Fiji, Bali and around New Zealand.

Last season started at the end of August and finished at the beginning of May, with so many amazing romantic and real moments, such a great memories. Its so hard to choose just one picture from the session/wedding from hundreds and thousands of them, Im so in love with all couples and weddings!

Winter pre-wedding session in New Zealand {Auckland engagement | wedding photographers}

Im so excited to share with you my recent winter pre-wedding session {in New Zealand this time of the year not so cold as in northern hemisphere, but still windy and chill}. So many couples doing in Auckland their engagement session before the wedding day. Its a best way to get stunning photographs, spend amazing time, get comfortable for future special day and even choose your wedding photographers.

I need to mention at least once per year Im trying to pay it forward and do engagement/wedding session giveaway {watch this space for our giveaway wedding that was just incredible}, and Laura & David won our couples photo shoot giveaway! We are so excited to spent the time with this incredible people, with beautiful souls, shining through the photographs.

Pre-wedding West Auckland + Domain Auckland photo shoot {wedding | engagement photography}

Such a beautiful day with Many & Mark on their pre-wedding West Auckland + Domain photo shoot in the park, forest and beach. Such amazing time with so couple that made their way from Hong Kong for their wedding | engagement photography.

We started in Auckland Domain, then follow to Riverhead forest and finished session at Muriwai Beach.

Couple shared their story: “We've been together for about 2.5 years we met during work when I (manyin) travel to HK for a work trip and Mark is local in HK where he studied in Sydney (same place as me) previously. Our hobbies and background was very alike and slowly we were together.” The proposal happened “On his birthday (as this was the date we started going out together) he decorated the house and proposed”. Such a beautiful story!

Pre-wedding photo shoot in New Zealand {Auckland wedding photographer}

Im so excited to share with you my recent sneak peek of pre-wedding photo shoot: Manyin & Mark come over to New Zealand from Hong Kong for this breathtaking session and travel around NZ with first stop in Auckland. Such a honour for me to be chosen before their wedding as their couples photographer.

We had such amazing time - 4-hours session!!! starting from Auckland Domain, Riverhead forest, and finishing meeting sunset at Muriwai Beach. So many incredible moments, love and laughter! We enjoyed every single moment!

Morning pre-wedding session in forest+beach {wedding-engagement photographer in Auckland}

I’m so excited to share with you a recent sneak peek of morning pre-wedding session with Yvonne & Ethan at Riverhead forest and Muriwai beach. Couple come over from Singapore where they planning their wedding, its such a honour they chose me to be their engagement photographer, coming in Auckland specially for this session.

Why it happened on morning? I do love beautiful sunset light, but unfortunately we had a rainy forecast during last two days that couple spent in New Zealand. Luckily, morning was just perfect with no rain!

We walk and talk and better know each other, couple shared their story and we had such amazing connection, photo shoot full of love and laughter!

Shoot & Share Contest Results - Best photos {Auckland wedding photographer}

Im so excited to share with you recent Shoot & Share contest results {this is a truly amazing competition/awards where only audience voting for best photos}. Its such a honour for me, Auckland wedding photographer to get acknowledgement , be notices from hundred of thousands of submitted photographs.

Quick statistics:

One of my photos got 5th place from 46000 submitted in Couple/Engagement Category; 3 photos became finalists in Engagement, Lifestyle/Documentary and Travel/Landscape category; 12 photos got in top 10% in their categories and 17 photos in top 20 % in their categories. Such amazing results, a bit better then last year.

Im so grateful, thank you everyone who voted and to my awesome couple who made this results come true; also thank you to my little one, her photo got in the finalist in Documentary category.

Muriwai Beach engagement session {Auckland wedding photographer}

Im so excited to share with you my recent gallery: Muriwai Beach engagement session {Auckland}. Anchal & Shravan had their pre-wedding photos done before fly out of New Zealand to India for their wedding. Im so honoured to be their photographer and document so special for couple moments!

We met on Tuesday afternoon and walk around sand dunes, rocks and gannet colony with secluded beach with the cave. So much love and positive emotions!

Its amazing how this couple {both born in different parts of India} met each other overseas in New Zealand {which maybe never happed in their home country}. Feels like it mean to be!

Rainy engagement session in Auckland {pre-wedding photographer}

We had such amazing time with Eileen & Steve on Christmas Eve! No matter rainy weather their engagement session in Auckland on the beach and in forest was so beautiful and romantic! Im so honoured to be chosen as their pre-wedding photographer and to capture so many special moments for this couple come over from overseas to New Zealand for this photo shoot!

Couple shared their love story: “We met through work, and have been together for close to 5 years. We saw each other and thought each other were cute but things really materialized when we went for a work charity event and he was finding ways to sit close and talk to me, and the rest is history. :)” Proposal: “He proposed to me at our home as we do not like dramatic attention. It was sweet and intimate, I came home to flowers (99 roses); petals and candles on the floor, with Rihanna's Diamond playing in the background. He went down on bended knee and asked me to marry him. Of course I said yes!”

Auckland City + Karekare Beach Pre-wedding {wedding photographer in New Zealand}

Im so thrilled to share with you a recent gallery highlights in Auckland City and Karekare Falls | Beach with Junice and Terrance who made all the way from Singapore to their pre-wedding session with me as wedding photographer, in New Zealand.

We had so much fun and positive emotions, walking on Auckland City streets, enjoying the atmosphere of a downtown with buildings, bricks, industrial and old style imperial feeling; driving to Karekare Falls and following to the Piha Beach for a little bit extra photos and atmosphere. This 3 hours photo shoot was just incredible. It was a cloudy day with no chance for a beautiful sunset, but its all about relationship, connection, emotions and candid moments, no matter weather!

Couple shared their love story: “We met at university during our 1st year but only got closer when we were doing our post grad diploma and have been together for almost 4 years”. The Proposal: “It was Junice's birthday and we had lunch at a Japanese restaurant we both like and have visited a few times. The restaurant celebrates birthdays with the chefs dimming the lights and singing a birthday song, while bringing out a birthday dessert. After the song, Terrance said that he had one more thing, - he then went down on one knee and popped the question. "To more sushi adventures ahead!" he said. “ Oh, such amazing story!

Pre-wedding | Engagement session on Piha {Auckland wedding photographers}

So excited to share with you a recent pre-wedding | engagement session gallery with Grace & Andrew on Piha beach and Karekare Falls {Auckland}. It was such amazing experience, a little bit pity we cant be couples wedding photographers, as they come all the way over from Canada to have this couples photo shoot in the wild and beautiful New Zealand!

Breathtaking experience and natural, romantic, beautiful and real photographs, memories for years to come!

We started our session from Karekare Falls in West Auckland and finish at sunset on Piha Beach.

Couple shared their love story: “We have been together for 10 years - nearly 11. We met while we were volunteering at a Christmas event in High School - we were volunteering to help kids make gingerbread cookies. Andrew pretended he didn't know how to tie a knot for the bags and that's where it all started. “

Proposal: “We were driving to Jasper, Alberta (which is where our mountains/ national park is). We stopped at one of the pit stops on the road to "take some photos" but he surprised me all of a sudden with a ring. Lots of cars on the road were honking (for congratulations) and thus I partly did not hear his speech (which I made him repeat again in the car) haha. Then we spent a few days in Jasper :)” Amazing story!

Im so excited to announce one of my images from Josh & Linda engagement session became The Voice finalist. Its such a great honour for me, Auckland wedding photographer, to be presented in this collection with finalists from all over the world. Congratulations to all talented artist to win this Awards! All photos from collection also been presented as a publication in Click Magazine - one of prestigious international publishers.

Need to mention, there was over 48000 submissions! Im so trilled to be one of the photographers - finalists! Its like dream come true! What a great way to start a New Year!

{also you can capture amazing moments with any equipment! My favourite Sigma 35 mm Art was in service that day and I used for this session Nikon 50 mm 1.8 Dx one of the kit lenses that I used when I got my crop camera at the beginning of photography. You just need your eye and ability to see the moment!}
