North Auckland Farm Wedding: Sophia and Jethro {New Zealand weddings photographer}

Fantastic time with Sophia & Jethro in North Auckland at their farm wedding near Mangawhai and Puhoi. As a wedding photographer, I love to capture beautiful weddings all around New Zealand and beyond, but farm - barn weddings have such a unique, freedom atmosphere with great spirit. We start getting ready in Mangawhai and then went to the farm at Puhoi, also ha an excellent opportunity to visit Wenderholm Regional park for couple's session with the bridal party, and finished at the reception under the marquee with 200 guests. It was such amazing day with a great atmosphere. 

The couple shared their love story with the proposal: "After an alpine hike in the Milford sound, on a snow-topped mountain at sunset (with wine and cheese) :) AMAZING!"

Our wedding season start rolling with Susannah & Jayden's wedding in Waitakere Estate {West Auckland, New Zealand}, where couple spend time with close friends and families in such picturesque surroundings. 

Jayden shared couple's love story:

"Susannah and I worked at the same company but never saw each other. One day we we're separately called into a group meeting, once Susannah started talking I was mesmerised. A few months later I moved onto the same floor and kept saying hello, eventually she said hello back and the rest is history." I love how was made a proposal: "I proposed as per Indian tradition; I asked her father for permission, then took Susannah to India to share the celebration with her family."

It was amazing wedding with beautiful and romantic atmosphere, full of positive moments, laugh and relaxed atmosphere.

Such a  great start of the season!

Excited to share with you: Jessica & Chris's vineyard wedding in Villa Maria {Auckland, New Zealand}, has just been published by BG Bridal Gallery.  It is such a huge honour for us, their wedding photographers, to see our Auckland, Waikato, Bay of Plenty and other New Zealand weddings featured around the world in prestigious Blogs and Magazines.

Castaways Resort {Auckland wedding photographers} Jenny and Andrew

I'm so excited to share with you highlights of my last wedding of this summer season in New Zealand - Jenny & Andrew get married in Castaways resort {Auckland, NZ} surrounded by their close friends and families. It was amazing outdoor wedding {as its get close to winter season we had such a cold wind on the top of the hills and freezing weather, but its not stand of the way of this beautiful couple celebrating their special day with their guests}. Couple contacted me looking for their wedding photogpraher just few months ago, I just love these sort of short notice weddings! I been happy to provide them a custom wedding photography coverage. 

It was great to meet all their friends and families {some come from all around the world, including China}.

Couple's romantic story: "On May 4th 2017 we will have been together for 3 years.. We met at a party through a mutual friend who has a habit of setting people up without them knowing! Andrew took me out for an ice cream at the Auckland Domain where, as Andrew's good fortune would have it, we happened upon a jazz band that was playing. We then went out on a hike in the Waitakere and watched the sunset."

How was made a proposal: "Andrew took me on a surprise long weekend holiday to Paihia and Russell - it was a warm November Guy Fawkes evening and he proposed under the stars on the balcony where we could see the fireworks across the harbour in Russell. He admitted later he was supposed to propose when we hiked up the Pinnacles in the Coromandel a few weeks earlier - but his plans got rained on - literally!" Such a romantic story!

Great was to have an amazing day in Castaways! Enjoy this video highlights and gallery with my favourite photographs!

Happy one year anniversary {Auckland wedding photographer}

Its a one year from beautiful and emotional Daria & Dmitry's wedding and I want to say - Happy one year anniversary! It was amazing and so special wedding in Russian Orthodox Church and New Zealand Royal Yacht Squadron (Auckland, New Zealand). 

We also done a post-wedding photo shoot with couple on Kariotahi beach, and it was unbelievable successful! We got amazing windy and emotional photographs {published in few international magazines and blogs and also got a NZIPP Iris awards in Wedding Creative category (Bronze)}.

St Margarets Cafe - Karaka {Auckland lifestyle wedding photographer} Maya and Andy

This beautiful wedding in St Margarets Cafe {Karaka, Auckland} been my last wedding of this busy weddings season :) Need to say its been a great happy ending, Maya & Andy celebrated their special day with their friends and family with so warm and fun atmosphere! I enjoyed every single moment of this amazing wedding with such an open and kind people around. It was great to capture all lifestyle moments, candids, raw emotions - believe me there was a lot of crying and laughing!

Speeches at reception been full of fun details and stories (especially Dads from both sides done amazing job describing bride and groom's childhood, some funny and dangerous moments, I became worried about my 4 years old son as Andy's childhood stories remind me of his activities :) Every moment on this wedding was emotional and beautiful!

Couple met each other when they were 18. Maya said: "Andy saw a photo of me on my friends wall and tried his luck (it worked)". They LOVE to travel {lived in England for a year and travel around the Europe}, snowboarding, and ... food! :) {I definitely feel a strong connection with this amazing couple! :)} "Proposal was made at home on Christmas Day... Beautiful and simple".

Thats how feels all this wedding: beautifully simple! From getting ready moments in Maya and Andy's parents houses in Pukekohe {with 3 bridesmaid, 3 groomsmen and close family and friends} to ceremony near beautiful pond and reception in St Margarets Cafe in Karaka, Auckland {with 100 guests under the marquee}.

It was interesting to find out that Maya and her mum, sister and sister in law did a lot of DIY items:  "We DIY our own bouquets!!! They were amazing!! I was lucky enough to have insanely creative souls in my life like my mother, sister, and sister in law. We DIY our wedding favours which were fig and feijoa chutney made from all our own produce. We DIY the bridesmaids dresses.. well my mum did!! Shes amazing… she copied a miss Crabb design! They were incredible!"

First dance {Auckland wedding-engagement photographer | emotional couples photography}

First dance is such a special moment for each couple on their wedding day. Thats why I often have wedding bookings covering time from getting ready till first dance. Its great memories and such special emotional moments.

You can see how much effort couples put into preparation for this dance to their families and guests (and themselves of course!), some couples even taking dance lessons before the wedding. I absolutely love it and respect this effort. I been taking myself to dance classes for many years from childhood. Its so special  when you feel music and movement, and it all comes together with emotions!

Small family garden wedding - Musick Point {Auckland lifestyle couples-engagement photographer}

What a great small family garden wedding I captured in the middle of January in Auckland. Tessa & John just amazing couple. They had getting ready moments in Tessa's parents house, ceremony and reception in their garden and location couples shoot at Musick point (Auckland).

They met each other at work and been together for 11 years, what a strong relationship! Tessa and John said they love spending time together walking on the beach, listening to music and the main thing "We have a similar sense of humour so love things we can laugh at together". Thats so important when you can laugh together :)

I love to shoot small family weddings for their cosy and warm atmosphere when couples spend their special time with close friends and family. It was great to capture these such treasured couple moments of their wedding day! Need to say John's son was the best man and Tessa had her best friend Parvati was a maid of honour and her daughter Maia was a flower girl. Such a pretty little one!

Time goes really fast, few hours gone just like this! We enjoy every moment of this wedding day!

Congratulations Tessa & John! Happy future together!

Wedding Picture feature in HuffPost Weddings {Auckland-Hamilton-Tauranga wedding photographer}

What a great honour to discover that my picture been featured in HuffPost Weddings {Huffington Post}! They posted top 50 best wedding photos 2015 award by Bridal Guide and choose one of my pictures for cover of their article. Its such a treasure to be featured in company with so talented wedding photographers around the world. 

Im mostly serving Auckland, Hamilton, Tauranga and surrounding areas, but always happy to travel to destination weddings nationwide, international. Hopefully there will be a chance very soon!

Parnell on the Rose Garden {Auckland lifestyle wedding photographer} Zydon & Olga

Parnell Rose Garden is a beautiful place in Auckland NZ to be married! I had the honour to capture an amazing wedding last weekend for Zydon & Olga, such a stunning couple!

Their photographs turned out just amazing which was not surprising when you look at all factors around: gorgeous bride Olga and handsome groom Zydon, stunning locations (rose gardens, old style reception and St Heliers Beach photo shoot after reception), great warm atmosphere (these families know how to have fun! I just loved every single minute of this wedding!). Olga fly over from Australia to New Zealand to Zydon to make this wedding happened :) Even distance not a barrier for a true love!

Footbridge Lodge Wedding {Auckland-Bombay couples photographer} Tammie & Ross

What a great cosy wedding I captured last weekend in Footbridge Lodge {Bombay, Auckland}. Tammie & Ross such a stunning couple! Their photographs turned just amazing!

Ross is a navy guy and Tammie is paramedic girl and they found each other. Celebrating their special day with family and close friends and sharing their feelings. Lily going to have a great step-dad!

Morning start for me in guys place getting ready in Pukekohe with relaxed and warm atmosphere. Ross and his 3 groomsmen  been joking, having fun, eat some lunch and getting ready for special event!

Footbridge lodge is a beautiful place in Bombay Hills, Auckland with beautiful picturesque views and old style architecture with wooden chapel (which has great big window at the back). What an amazing place to be married. 

We had some fun at location shoot near the pond with pier and boat, then follow up reception with emotional moments, speeches and of course dance time!

What a beautiful couple and cosy atmosphere!
