As you already know I love to shoot everyday lifestyle moments, do family storytelling and capture my kids special moments.

I did a few shots today just in one room with one activity for 5 minutes (yes, my kids really active - one moment they laying on the bed, another one - eating apple, and last one - climbing on the draws and laying on the floor). Thats how looks my life :)

Creativity exercise: Take camera and shoot your kids during 5 minutes, everything what they doing and where going. Just watch the light, your camera settings, compositions, lines, take in frame everything what you want and exclude distractive moments (watch sides and background!

What a great month - end of the autumn season, full of colours and more rainy and colder weather. Love my beautiful clients/friends sessions and lifestyle family moments (kids watching rain outside, playing, dressing costumes, or just sleeping.

We have busy life and a lot complicated questions to decide. So sometimes is really good to look at simple things and find this beauty of simplicity.

Its can be a macro photography with attention to one subject - focus on one thing and blurry background, simple idea, simple composition.

Its could be simple shape - circles or leading lines:

Attention on one person doing some simple and understandable things (like this child below playing piano). 

Picture should speaks to you with these simple and clear moments. 

So lets put attention on simple moment around and have a rest from our busy lifestyle :)

Beauty in details. Nature and landscape photography Auckland

Did you ever notice little things around you: flowers, branches, trees, clouds, sky? It's a lot beautiful natural details around us. But we too busy to notice it. We hurry, have a lot of things to do, problems, stress, and also when you have little kids its not an easy task to find time for yourself and look around, feel beauty and relax :)

As you know Im doing 365 project with daily shooting. I photograph mainly my kids, clients and some lifestyle moments. But sometimes I try to think out site the box and looking for new subjects. It's the beauty around us, nature. You could find it at the beach or park, or just in your yard near the house. I will show you some pictures that I have done just next to my house just one meter from each other. It's a real beauty.

You just need to see it and capture it!

Little tips: use your camera's manual mode, change aperture (small number 1.4-2.8 for blurry background, or over 8 for sharp to see details - like airplane in the sky below)

One little day at Nana's place. Lifestyle photography Auckland

My everyday moments full of positive moments with kids photography, documentary lifestyle moments and doing family storytelling, mostly outdoor photography at natural light (and sometimes indoor). I want to share with you today my personal little moments with kids visiting grandmother just before Mother's Day. 

Kids just love to go to Nana's place. They wake up at morning and ask to go there. You can't just put them down and say No :) So we decide to drive over to North Shore to visit Grandmother. I took some lifestyle pictures at the house, around the place, at little playground and on the way back home.

Everyday moments. Playcentre. Lifestyle photographer Auckland

My personal photography project: capture everyday moments - 365 days a year, family storytelling and documentary lifestyle moments.

I took kids to Playcentre for the first time today. It's a great opportunity for kids to play with a lot of different toys, painting, play role games, put costumes on and have fun outside at fully fenced playground; and parents can just relax and watch kids having fun, explore and develop their skills. Love this atmosphere!

Its been rainy today but my little ones still explore everything around inside and outside and I had the opportunity to take some pictures, capture fun lifestyle moments.

My 365 Project. April. Auckland lifestyle family and wedding photographer

One more month in 365 Project. One more milestone. One more achievement.

Its become natural to take a pictures every day, looking for new opportunities, angles, new emotions and stories.

If last month was about to see beauty in details, this month for me about simplicity and consistency. Just a quiet month full of different moments - excitement and quiet feelings. It's interesting to look back and see what done for this month.

Im happy to capture my everyday moments with kids, how they playing, running etc. My 365 project helps a lot to get motivation and inspiration.Not every day the same. Some days full of exciting moments and events, others feels flat and boring. But there always chance to see beauty!

I show you my pics form 2 days. First from indoor playing with blocks, another one - kids at new playground (mazing place for kids to play!).

We every day take kids to playground where they playing, running, sliding etc.

And a little bit climbing too. So I took my camera and captured these moments in the air. Just love to move back to them when my kids grow up and I will miss all these little cute moments.

Let Kids been kids! They always doing unexpected things and ready to find something interesting in our usual life and have  fun with it!

So much surprises, mess, cleaning work, fun moments!

My little one sneak outside and I found him playing with leaves, through them up in the air, having fun and doing leaves rain what drops in his hair, under the clothes and nappies as well.

I love to capture these real life moments what brings some magic in.

I just want to share with you my everyday moments with kids. Its great to capture all these little moments what we will treasure in future when kids grow up. Sometimes its really handy to have a camera beside.

I been with kids at playgroup today and did some shots with their play and craft.

But then my daughter found big hat, and I just follow her with camera (lucky I had it with me) :) Its looks so gorgeous and cute! I just can't help myself :) So here big picture share. I like this old style retro feeling what give us these pictures:

Its shows how many interesting moments you could capture for shot moment with kids :) Just have camera ready :)

2 Minutes With... Photography Project. Lifestyle photos

2 Minutes Project - Its a great opportunity to capture different events or emotions during two minutes. You will be surprised how much could happened just for this short time!

Its works good with capture people's emotions, especially if its little kids. They full of energy, fast change their attention, move from one thing to another... You need same fast react on all these changes :)

You could try to do it with own kid or other family member (its could be static position on the chair and just close capture face with emotions or move around the room with your subject - especially if you have active toddler)

I could show you example with some lifestyle shots with my little one what I took today during 2 minutes. You can see how much happened for this time.

What a great sources for pictures and inspiration - Instagram and Pinterest.

Instagram really popular place to put your pictures straight out of camera (mobile phone). Its a square picture, but you could always keep original shape with some apps like Squaredroid (what i use often). Also great to put a tag - your friend @xxx or any subject what you like (for example #wedding, #familyshoot, #aucklandphotographer, #lifestyle, #beauty etc. And then you could easily click on this tag and see all other pictures around the world with this hashtag.

You could find great pictures all around the world, different communities, photographers which you could follow ...

My personal Instagram - www.instagram.com/olgalevien  You could find there not only my work with clients / friends but also a lot of personal pictures, mostly my kids and everyday pictures :)

Pinterest give you opportunity not only search for pictures what you need, but also pin it and create own boards where you could save favourite pics. I love to create inspirational boards and also would ask my clients to create their own while prepare to our photo shoot, so we get some new ideas, leaning forward some style, and understand we on the same page! :)

I love to capture everyday moments, especially if its about family storytelling, my kids actions or my work with clients. Its also help to remember all little moments, and move back in memories afterwords. Thats why I also took part in 365 Project with capture Daily photo. Its a great way to fix memories and practice and progress in photography.

So here my little everyday moments with kids and some other life moments (for example yesterday I visit my friend photographer Jay from the same area (Franklin) and had a big fun watch her patient work with little one with cake smashing and water play. And my kids been happy to play in her child proof house and had fun. I manage to took some behind scene pictures :) Thank you Jay for this opportunity!

Love-Love-Love!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone! What a magic day full of love, friendship and freedom spirit!

Want to say to my clients/friends - I love you all and especially my dear husband! To the moon and back :) Thank you for all you support and love: tea in bed, looking after kids when Im shooting, feeding and changing nappies (not an easy task, especially put clothes back on), making yummy dinners or drive to buy take aways (curry forever!), and listening my talking (not sure how much percent information go through, maybe 10%? ha-ha :)

And thank you guys for share with me your special moments, love and feelings! I'm really appreciate to be part of something magical! :)

Its time for Bath! Lifestyle baby and kids photographer Auckland

I love to capture family everyday moments. So I think now turn to bath time!

Its happened every day and its just usual routine: move kids in bath, wash them, tidy floor after water play (sometimes its became an ocean on the floor!, move out, chasing them around and then dress - its a hardest task, especially for my husband, some parts of clothes became missing - no pants, for example :))

So this time I just follow kids with my camera and took a few shots for memories - capture everyday moments!

Our life running fast and changeable. We have only one constant basic thing - our treasure - our family.

We should appreciate all these moments, but sometimes we just move through them, looking forward future, waiting when kids will be older and its all will be easier and not so busy and stressful. But we could miss this RIGHT NOW moment, when kids so little and need us.

Dont hurry to live, enjoy each moment, capture it and look again.

Here my little treasures. And i really sorry for all moments when I'm not been near or been but not realised how priceless each moment with them.
