What a fun time we had this morning at Kariotahi beach for spend some family time and capture beautiful lifestyle moments for my 365 Project (luckily camera was with me!)
What else could boys dream about: wind, sand, freedom! My little one just explore everything around, jumps from the hill, run forward the ocean, laying and playing in the sand, climbing up high. Just a paradise for boys!

Did you ever think about having session at your own house? It looks too usual for you, every day you see the same walls and your used to it.
But what about remembering these everyday moments, remember what your family and kids love to do, how you prefer spend time together, what about treasure every single moment of your life. Kids grow up really fast and they do colouring or enjoy play-dough, run after bubbles, trying to catch them, laughing and sitting on the ground...
All these moments will be gone, but we could remember them when looking at pictures.
I spent morning with beautiful family last weekend: Kylie, Taylor and Kourtney (5 and 7 years old gorgeous girls), they so different and looks so similar at the same moment. We capture everyday lifestyle moments like colouring, playing, laying on the floor and doing a lot of other different things, what all kids loves to do. We just went with the flow, follow girls wishes. It was big fun! Love every single moment of this session! We also did some baking, it was really special, so I decided put it in separate Blog post (watch this space for publication next week).

Babies are so gorgeous and its a great pleasure to do photo shoot with newborns and their parents.
Last weekend I been doing photography session at Auckland CBD at Katya's and Daniel's home. We captured some lifestyle moments with baby awake, sleeping, feeding, laying in his cot and on Mummy's bed (best place ever for babies). He is so adorable, and I just love his hair and little fingers and toes! We captured all these special moments and then took this baby for a walk to Albert park, and walked around Auckland Uni and Clock Tower. Beautiful place!
Baby is so sweet when he sleeps, we really don't want disturb his dreams, so took some shots while he was in the pram and put him down to the mat in his car seat. It was beautiful colours around, with all this leaves on the ground!
At the end of our walking Daniel woke up (of course) and we got some shots with awake baby.
What an amazing day and beautiful weather with great people. Katya is a gorgeous Mama, and I just love to capture the connection between them, such special moments. Hope to see Daniel in the future and see how he grows up, this strong little boy!

Hello everyone. Here is a New Creativity Exercise this week for you:
Create different pictures with using one of accessories and play around with it. It could be anything what you have at home or outside (suitcase, trolley, toy, blanket, basket, and any activities what kids love to do). Choose it, place near kids (or place kids near this thing) and click the moments with lids playing with it, climbing in it, touching etc. Have fun!
I just created some pictures at last weekend morning with my kids playing on the bed around the net. I not just captured what they been doing but also moved net around to create different frames, angles and out of focus images. You just give kids the opportunity to play and they happily cooperate with you!

Every morning is different. Some give you a lot of positive emotion and fun moments what you just desperately need to capture.
This morning I was lucky to shoot my kids everyday moments: my youngest one, almost 2 years old, put four layers clothes on her (girly girl! - can't stop to ask me put on more and more t-shirts and dresses, pulling them out from the draws. I decided to follow her wishes, and watch when she decided to stop. Last dress with bunny goes on top of three others pretty tops :) And gumboots of course (pretty one with strawberries :) I even not sure she put it on right feet.
My older little one, her 3 year old brother, decided to help her brushing hair, and then had fun laying under the blanket with cheeky smile :)
And they both had a lot of fun!

What nice sunny weather and freezing temperature! Thats how we met Thursday morning photo shoot at Auckland City Kohimarama | St. Heliers beach. Lucky enough no rain, but bright sun which is not the best friend for great pictures :)
But I can work in any conditions. We met again with Lena and Yarik for their second family session. Its a big pleasure to work with old friends/clients (last time it was really rainy weather for family session but we manage to handle it :)
Yarik just turned 2 years old. What a big boy, lucky parents. He was really good, full of smiles, had a lot of fun at the session: played with the sand, rolled ball at the beach, played with mummy hide and seek and pi-ca-bu , climbed up to the stairs and run around! Boys always active!

Capturing kids is not an easy task - they are always on the move and really active. They make you move fast, be creative and capture joyful moments in lifestyle photography.
Today I will give you creativity exercise for capturing kids activities. Lets practice and progress in photography together!
Creativity exercise: Try to capture one child's activity from different angles and sides. It makes the picture more interesting and allows attention on details. It could be anything that a child loves to do. Be creative and think outside the box - shoot from different sides, from the top, move down to child's level and shoot from the bottom, shoot wide angle or close up. See results!
Here is just few shots of my daughter playing in the park, she is really interested of big tree and branches at the top. I can't help myself and took some shots from different positions and angles. You could see variety, but clicks been done just during 1-2 minutes. And I love her impression, her curious eyes and her movement and still moments. Enjoy this lifestyle series:

Babies so tiny and gorgeous little things! It's always so much pleasure to welcome them into this world and take pictures with newborns!
Great time for newborn photos - 10 days after baby birthday. They are still really sleepy at this time, so we get opportunity to set up some posing pictures! And do some lifestyle shots in between when the baby awakes.
What a gorgeous baby boy I met last weekend! Nazar is just the perfect baby, loves his parents so much so, he liked to stay most of the session in their hands, so we got plenty of opportunities to get family shots, details and even take pictures with wedding cake that parents keep not touched (freeze) for this special day - when first baby born. What a nice tradition!
Family shared with me piece of yummy wedding cake with cup of tea. It was really nice atmosphere. And was great to see grandparents there who support and helped them a lot with a baby and gave mum some rest after session.

- A pregnant women between 28 and 34 weeks along between ages of 22 and 32. Long hair preferred.
- Two fun loving family with 1-3 kids or crazy in-love couples who are comfortable being photographed in their own home. If you have with lots of windows definitely note that in your message!

Sometimes day can go unexpected ways. From quiet family time it can turn to busy full of people at crowded market - Steel on wheels in Waiuku or fast change to really relaxable time with family at Kariotahi beach.
That how our day goes. First few shots at Steel on wheels - market in Waiuku with a lot of retro vintage cars, and I just love all of them. Its been really so busy :)
So we took kids on playground afterwards and had an idea to drive to the Kariotahi beach which is located just few kilometres from Waiuku. Its a wonderful place, and was so nice just lay in the grass and watch nature around, waves, rocks and people hand gliding in the air. It was a real pleasure to capture all these little moments and feels really good to be at this atmosphere after busy environment.

My everyday moments full of positive moments with kids photography, documentary lifestyle moments and doing family storytelling, mostly outdoor photography at natural light (and sometimes indoor). I want to share with you today my personal little moments with kids visiting grandmother just before Mother's Day.
Kids just love to go to Nana's place. They wake up at morning and ask to go there. You can't just put them down and say No :) So we decide to drive over to North Shore to visit Grandmother. I took some lifestyle pictures at the house, around the place, at little playground and on the way back home.

I want to say Happy Mother's day to all my friends and clients! It's a special feeling being a mother and to celebrate Mother's day with all mums on the planet. I remembered how special I felt to be a mum on this day for the very first time and get a present from my husband/kids - some fun cup with picture about shopping (my son was less then one month old at this point and go shopping for me looks like impossible task! Now I have two babies and can go shopping easily! At least food shopping, ha-ha :)
So I want to wish a wonderful day to all Mums, had a lot of positive emotions, get all love and nice surprises from your family! Hope they make you really happy and not only at this day. but every single day! :)
And I just want to remember my last sessions with beautiful Mums and their gorgeous kids. Im so happy you spend such treasured time with me and I'm so pleased to look at these pictures, its something really meaningful for me!

It was an amazing time with this active and fun family. Girls were so gorgeous! And their parents love them so much! It was a real pleasure to capture these special family moments, their relationship, fun, freedom and spirit. We really enjoyed this time together and the little ones have been happy to play and explore everything around. Pictures turned out just amazing!

Event photography is a lot of fun, dynamic and creative type of photo shoots.
It's stressful for some people and fun for others :)
You get opportunities to meet new people, make new friends and practice different type of photography styles: formals, documentary, storytelling. From shooting portrait, couples, big group of people to decorations, details and food photography :) From photographing babies, kids at parties, to adults and seniors. So many opportunities! Shooting in dark conditions, inside to sunny outside, nature environment or streets, offices and halls.
You should be well prepared to handle variety and different tasks. Thats why I love shooting parties (birthday, engagement, baby shower, anniversary), weddings and other events. It gives freedom to shoot what you see around and love; so much different things with beauty inside and raw emotions.
Here are some quick tips for events shooting:
1. Check your camera settings - every time when you move from different lighting conditions (or light change at your location - especially happens fast before sunset).
2. Be creative, open your eyes - try to see beauty in details, all these little things around make this atmosphere and will be treasured in future.
3. Be fast and patient - conditions changes fast and you should too. But not too hurry, you still need be patient and capture this special moment.
4. Think outside the box - shoot with different angles, perspectives and sides.
5. Turn around, capture all these events and people. Especially little ones could bring a lot of interesting shots and fun moments.
6. Be flexible - all things changes around, conditions, planned schedule etc. Don't be upset, try to find new direction and fast change your vision and plan.

We every day take kids to playground where they playing, running, sliding etc.
And a little bit climbing too. So I took my camera and captured these moments in the air. Just love to move back to them when my kids grow up and I will miss all these little cute moments.
